Mobile number protected under dispute In connection with the airtel bill; I have received the bills and raised several complaints before I went to Maldives and during my stay there and after returning. However, I don’t receive any response or receive an irrelevant response as noted. Issues: 1. Call: From Maldives, I was trying to get in touch with Airtel customer care on various numbers. The voice calls of Rs protected,protected for the international roaming indicates that these calls were made to airtel customer care. These calls were also made only because Airtel did not activate any roaming plan despite several calls before and after as AIRTEL CUSTOMER CARE COULDN’T FIND ME AS A CUSTOMER ON THEIR SYSTEM – MY OLD PORTING OUT FROM AIRTEL TO ANOTHER SERVICE PROVIDER DONE IN APRIL protected/protected SHOWED UP. The Airtel team could not find my number in their records; therefore, I was put on hold multiple times. This was an issue. Therefore, why should I be charged for this. I also told the customer care that I am in Maldives and they asked if I can hold they can resolve this problem, but in-vain – as this connected to Chennai circle customer care first where I was a customer. Then they transferred to Maharastra circle who also did not help. But this resulted in charges to me. Emails sent to Nodal office and protected before and after the travel / before and after bill generation are both included. I received an irrelevant response saying the below “2.Bill generation date is on protected-protected and explain post protected hours of bill generation you can view the bill by visiting our websitewww.airtel.in/myaccount” No resolution or accurate response was provided for these queries. 2. Mobile internet: The mobile internet was not used on the airtel line. I had taken a local plan in the cruise to Maldives from my cruise company and I wasn’t using Airtel 3G / 4G. The only usage was for calls made as indicated in 1 above and 3G / 4G was activated once to check the airtel app as the customer care asked for my customer number so that they can find my customer records. This is also why I had to make repeated calls on roaming. Therefore this was also airtels mistake. The usage can be checked from the bill at around the same time that calls were made to customer care. Therefore, in summary, I am requesting for the reversal of all charges of roaming given that these were airtels issues. This same issue happened in November when I was in SPAIN when the airtel team did not find my number and I contacted several times as my 3G / 4G wasn’t working. Nodal officers again responded with an irrleavtn response and then I did not receive a refund of the pack charged for EUROPE travel. I don’t understand, but I went ahead and paid as the amount was lower – either Rs protected / Rs protected. Now I cannot pay again for errors of airtel, as I have been charged excess. I have been using airtel for several years. Only moved to Vodafone when I moved from Chennai to Maharasthra for 6 months and then moved back to airtel as I was always happy to be a customer of airtel and airtel has promised always that the lowest bill will be generated in any situation whatsoever, factoring any plans etc. I have also been regularly making payments of all my bills – never defaulted in a single payment. I would therefore, request you to factor the above and given that there was confusion from airtels side; can you please reverse these roaming charges of Rs protected,protected and issue a fresh bill for the same. Airtel has been refusing to listen even though I have gone upto appellate authority. They just call and say nothing can be done. Now they have agreed to waive call charges but do not agree to waive Internet charges. I don’t understand why, when the issue is the same for both.
