I had placed an order for a bar fridge (50 liter) manufactured by Kitchoff India (Surat) via Amazon India site and what I received was a wooden partition made by a totally different company called Artesia. When I realized that there is some mistake, I took the matter to Amazon India who said they would speak with Kitchoff India and delivery partner Fedex to investigate and correct the mistake. Despite repeated phone calls and emails to both Amazon and Kitchoff, no action had been taken by them to resolve my problem. This is despite the fact that I have submitted all proof like photos of wrong item received etc. I then proceeded to file a claim under the Amazon India policy but that also they without giving due thought and understanding, simply rejected the claim and highlighted reasons wherein claims can be accepted and my reason of "receiving the wrong item" was clearly mentioned as one of them. Still they refused my claim and when I appealed they refused that too and emailed saying we will not entertain any more emails or discussion on this. What control do I have over what is being sent to me and when it is sent wrong and no one wants to take the responsibility for the same? And why should I pay for a parcel, which is not what I ordered?
