The
Ministry of Consumer Affairs Food and Public Distribution recently launched the
“National Consumer Helpline App”. This app is focused on expanding the
accessibility of the services of consumer forums towards more and more people.
The no of mobile users in India is increasing at a rapid rate. The government
has launched apps related to various departments and services and has helped
the citizens greatly to interact with the government and communicate with various
departments.
This app will now help the consumers to file their consumer complaints with the ease of their smartphones. The national consumer helpline app will further make the experience of filing consumer complaints online with the help of a smartphone. This will allow consumers to file their consumer complaints from anywhere. The app is also beneficial in a way that this app is way more interactive than the consumer helpline website.
We used the new consumer helpline app and found some welcome changes in the working of the app. The home page of the app is well designed with buttons to various other pages and resources.
The
registration page is also well sought out asking for all the important details
nothing more than that. The blue and white colors used in the app theme would
make people feel familiar with the Facebook theme.
The
app is very simple in functionality and it’s minimalistic design this has been
done keeping in mind that this app should work in every device no matter the
specifications of the device. The best feature of this app is the FAQ section
or the “Knowledge Base”. This section contains information about various
industries and sectors the drop-down allows you to select the industry or the
sector and further the information is divided into questions.
Another
useful section is the “Important Links” which contains links to websites of
various government agencies and bodies. All and all this app contain all the
information you need and ever need. The contact details section has contact
details of the members of each state commission and various district forums
pertaining to a particular state.
This
app will help more and more consumers to file their consumer grievances and get
them resolved.
